And now our app is more supportive than ever – and more accessible, too. Now anyone can subscribe to WEconnect and access a deeper level of personal support from a certified Peer Support Specialist (Peer).

Q: Who are Peers and what do they do?
A: WEconnect Peers are real people with firsthand recovery experience. You may know Peers from hosting our daily online meetings – they’re skilled professionals who offer non-judgmental support for a variety of mental and behavioral health concerns, including substance misuse.
Q: What does a Peer support subscription include?
A: Well… it’s kind of up to you! Peer support looks different for everyone. When you partner with your WEconnect Peer, they can help you:
- Define your goals
- Work on skill-building
- Develop a personal wellness plan
- Establish daily routine support
- Maintain your progress
- Recognize & celebrate your wins
- Cope through the tough days
- …and more!
Q: What is the role of a Peer?
A: Peers connect you to helpful resources as you progress toward your wellness goals. Think of someone walking beside you on your journey, clearing the path ahead so you can get to where you’re going. They aren’t, however, therapists or crisis counselors.
Q: When can I talk to my Peer?
A: Whenever works best for you! Your Peer will be available for messaging in the app, and you can also plan to talk over the phone or on video calls!
Q: What if I don’t know my goals or what I should do to get support?
A: We can help with that. Luckily, there’s no wrong way to get Peer support. First, they’ll reach out to see how you want to connect. Then, they will ask you guiding questions to get you to think about what you want to accomplish. Then your Peers will be there to help you find answers to some of those questions! Then you’ll just take it from there.
Q: How do I get Peer support in the WEconnect app?
A: If you already have the WEconnect app, you can upgrade your subscription through the Settings page. If not, download the free app to get started!
Q: How much does Peer support cost?
A: We offer two subscription options through the app: a monthly and an annual option. The monthly subscription includes dedicated 1-on-1 Peer support through the app for $40/month, while the annual offering is $350/year.
